Dr. Seungtaek L Choi, M.D.<\/p><\/div>\n

Dr. Seungtaek L Choi, who worked in conjunction with Dr. Jeri Kim (Oncologist), was the Radiation specialist who spearheaded the Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) treatment Herb received. This is a type of 3-dimensional radiation therapy that uses computer-generated images to show the size and shape of the tumor. Thin beams of radiation of different intensities are aimed at the tumor from many angles. This type of radiation therapy reduces the damage to healthy tissue near the tumor. \u00a0Dr. Choi was determined to assist in getting the Cancer under control, and making Herb as comfortable as possible throughout his treatment. For his determination and loyalty, Dr. Choi is our March 2014 Hero.<\/p>\n
